About Miranda Kaula

Professional, compassionate care – rooted in both tradition and family heritage

Hello

My journey into acupuncture was shaped by my family’s legacy in healthcare. Growing up with a father who was a doctor and a mother who was a physiotherapist, I learned that compassion and listening are as vital as medical knowledge. Their example inspired the values that guide my practice today.

My personal experiences with holistic health deepened this path. I became fascinated by how acupuncture addresses not just symptoms but root causes, viewing health as a dynamic balance between body, mind, and spirit.

Professional training and qualifications

College of Traditional Chinese Medicine
BAcC Member Logo

I trained at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading, where I gained a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture and my LicAc qualification.

My training covered:

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): diagnostic tools such as pulse and tongue reading, treating physical symptoms, pain, fatigue, and digestive issues.

Five Element acupuncture: focusing on emotional and constitutional balance, using the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) to understand deeper health patterns.

I am a fully licensed and insured member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) – the UK’s leading professional body for acupuncture practitioners. This ensures that my practice meets nationally recognised standards for safety, ethics, and clinical excellence.

This dual training and professional accreditation allow me to treat both immediate concerns and underlying causes, offering a more complete approach to health.

What makes my practice unique

Integrated TCM & Five Element approach – addressing both symptoms and patterns.

Safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard.

A balance of traditional wisdom and modern evidence.

What my clients say

"I initially came to see Miranda for support with perimenopause symptoms, especially brain fog and anxiety, and after just a few sessions noticed a real shift. Miranda is a truly gifted practitioner. Her presence, knowledge, and gentle approach made such a difference to my overall wellbeing. I'm so thankful for the support she's given me during this phase, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone considering acupuncture for natural hormonal balance or general wellbeing."

My philosophy

I believe healing happens not only through acupuncture needles, but also through the therapeutic relationship. My role is to help you understand your health patterns, validate your experiences, and work with you towards balance.
